Reads January 1 to May 1 annually. $1000 and publication of a manuscript of poems. Winners announced each fall.

Poetry broadside contest

Reads September 15 to November 15. $250 and professionally designed broadside publication for a winning poem, plus professionally designed broadsides for two runners-up.

Founded in 1969, the Ashland Poetry Press seeks to publish and promote the best poetry submitted from emerging and established authors. The press publishes mostly single-author collections, new and selected editions, anthologies, translations, and collections of essays. We consider book-length manuscripts each year in our Richard Snyder Memorial Prize. We also publish individual poems through our fall Poetry Broadside contest, and poems, essays, and stories in the Black Fork Review.
